The SCREEN TEST STREP A Streptococcus A Rapid Test is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the detection of Group A streptococci in throat swab samples, intended to assist in the diagnosis of Group A Streptococcus infections.

• The specific antibody for the Strep A carbohydrate antigen is coated in the test line region. During testing, the extracted throat swab sample reacts with Strep A antibodies on the particles. The complex migrates upward along the membrane and reacts with the Strep A antibody on the membrane, producing a colored line in the test line region.
• The presence of this colored line in the test region indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result.
• As a procedural control, a colored line always appears in the control region, confirming that the correct sample volume was used and that the membrane has been properly wetted.
• The test result can also be read using our rapid test reader, which enables reading and printed output of the result.
