The Cruma PCR-V is specifically designed for gene amplification work using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique, providing a safe and sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination of DNA and RNA samples.
The cabinet is equipped with three 15W UV-C lamps, two of which are positioned at the top of the chamber, for sterilizing the work area and inactivating DNA/RNA fragments. A digital timer controls the exposure time to direct UV irradiation.
As an innovation, the cabinet features an air recirculation system with a third UV lamp, fan, and dust filter in a closed structure, allowing continuous decontamination during operation while protecting the user from UV exposure.
The front panel is made of tempered glass 4mm, protecting the operator from UV radiation. The safety system automatically shuts off the UV lamps in case of accidental door opening.
