They deliver reliable and accurate SpO₂ measurements, thanks to patented PureLight® technology and the advanced PureSAT® signal processing algorithm, ensuring consistent performance even under challenging conditions such as motion or low perfusion.
Model 8000AA: Suitable for adult patients (body weight ≥ 30 kg)

Reliable pulse oximetry starts with Nonin’s PureLight® sensors. These sensors use a specially engineered spectrum of high-purity light to eliminate measurement inconsistencies between different patients or sensors.
Each sensor features two essential light sources: red and infrared LEDs.
Unlike conventional LEDs, PureLight LEDs avoid unwanted secondary light emissions (known as spectral contamination), which can distort readings. Spectral contamination affects the oximeter’s calibration curve, particularly at low oxygen saturation levels below 80%, leading to inaccurate measurements.
