Pre-connected SMART Pads II can be used for both adults and children, eliminating the need for separate pads. Real-time, step-by-step voice instructions are paced to your actions, while CPR guidance and an audible metronome assist rescuers throughout the process. For infant or child treatment, simply insert the optional Infant/Child Key and the FRx automatically adjusts instructions and therapy levels.

Easy as 1–2–3

The patented Quick Shock feature enables the FRx to typically deliver a shock within 8 seconds after CPR. Studies indicate that minimizing the time to shock after CPR may improve survival rates.

1. Press the green On/Off button to activate voice instructions and visual prompts.
2. Place the pads on the patient as illustrated.
3. When prompted, press the orange Shock button.

Designed to Perform Wherever Needed

Lightweight yet extremely durable, the Philips HeartStart FRx is engineered for demanding environments. It withstands rough handling, extreme temperatures, dust, and wet conditions. It can endure weights up to 500 kg (1,100 lbs) and survive drops from 1.2 meters (4 ft).

Simplified Maintenance

The pre-connected SMART Pads II work for both adults and children. Once installed, the FRx performs automatic daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests to verify pad readiness and system functionality. The battery provides up to four years of standby life (when stored and maintained according to the Owner’s Manual).
