The ISOLETTE® 8000 plus incubator is a state-of-the-art neonatal care unit, offering outstanding durability and high-quality performance.

Design:

• The design and construction of the incubator have been developed with the utmost attention to fully meeting the needs of the newborn, ensuring the most ideal care conditions possible, and enabling quick and easy disinfection and preparation of the unit to support the workflow of the clinical nursing staff.
• The ISOLETTE® 8000 plus is mounted on a robust wheeled base with four (4) antistatic castors and a braking system for enhanced stabilization and safety.
• The height of the unit, including the infant hood, is adjustable for better ergonomic access to the newborn.
• This adjustment is operated via a foot switch with silent operation, allowing smooth, incremental movement to avoid acoustic stress and vibration inside the incubator chamber.

Infant Hood (HOOD): The infant compartment is generously sized to facilitate clinical procedures by medical and nursing staff. It provides full visibility of the newborn from all four sides and features double-wall construction to improve thermal and acoustic insulation from the external environment.

Features:

• Unique warm air curtain system along the sides of the doors and access windows maintains the set temperature levels, even during access.

• Large mattress area (40.6 cm x 81.0 cm) with a soft, comfortable, easy-to-clean cover.

• The mattress tilt can be adjusted ±12° using external rotary knobs, in both Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positions.

• On the display screen, graphs and numeric data are shown for the past 24 hours, including:

  • a) Two skin temperature values

  • b) Air temperature inside the hood

  • c) Heater power output

  • d) Humidity level

Thermo Monitoring:

Advanced temperature monitoring with two separate measuring channels:

• One channel measures central body temperature (e.g., abdominal)
• The second channel measures peripheral temperature (e.g., lower limb) This dual-channel system allows early detection of possible cold or heat stress, even at an initial stage.

KANGAROO MODE™:

This special mode supports kangaroo care, when the newborn is taken out of the incubator and held skin-to-skin by the parent (usually the mother or father). The incubator continues to monitor the baby’s temperature to prevent overheating or hypothermia, even when the infant is outside the hood.

The airflow velocity over the infant is less than 10 cm/sec, minimizing heat loss.
